Pershing S.p.a.

Pershing is an Italian maker of fast sports yachts and a brand of Ferretti Group. The name honours the American general John Joseph Pershing. The brand says it has been shaping the sector since 1985, when it launched the Pershing 45, a yacht that broke with the conventions of the time. Today the range runs from about 16.5 to 43.3 metres. The X Generation covers the 5X, 6X, 7X, 8X and 9X. The GTX Series adds the GTX70, GTX80, GTX90 and GTX116, a line of sport utility yachts with more room on board. At the top sits the Pershing 140, the brand's first all-aluminium superyacht. Pershing joined Ferretti Group in 1998, and its yachts are built at the Mondolfo yard in the Marche region, with a Customization Atelier where owners shape their own yacht. The brand is known for surface drives and for pairing strong engine power with long, low lines. Interiors are supplied by Poltrona Frau. The first GTX90 was launched in July 2026, so the range is still growing. Ferretti Group has been led by chief executive Stassi Anastassov since May 2026.

Pershing builds in different materials depending on the model. The 5X has a glass-reinforced plastic hull, the 9X uses a composite of carbon fibre with vinylester and epoxy resins, and the 140 is built in aluminium. Most of the range is made for speed: the 5X and GTX70 reach 36 knots, and the 9X is listed at 42 knots. The 9X is powered by an MTU diesel of about 2,600 horsepower, while the GTX116 uses three MAN engines driving waterjets. The 140 also uses hydro-jet propulsion. Surface drives, which hold the propeller partly out of the water to cut drag, are part of the brand's history.
